How it works

From a plant's meter to a certificate no one can duplicate.

Scroll to walk the full lifecycle, one stage at a time — the page advances with you and never autoplays.

From meter to mint

STAGE 01 / 05

Generation

A plant reports what it produced.

Plant ID, energy generated, source, and the exact date and time of generation -- the raw claim everything else is checked against.

STAGE 02 / 05

AI analysis

Scored for fraud risk in real time.

An ML model checks the claim against the plant's physical capacity, its trading graph, and weather history, returning a 0-100 fraud score with plain-English reasoning -- not a black box.

Fraud score / 100

STAGE 03 / 05

Certificate composed

Plant data, score, and reasoning become one record.

Everything that doesn't need a blockchain's guarantee -- plant details, the fraud score, the AI's reasoning -- lives here, off-chain, where it can be explained, updated, and queried.

STAGE 04 / 05

Minted on-chain

One claim goes to Ethereum: this is unique.

The smart contract checks the (plant, energy, timestamp) triple against every certificate it has ever minted. If it's already been used, the mint reverts -- on-chain, unconditionally.

STAGE 05 / 05

Verified

Anyone can check it, no account needed.

A public verify page reads the chain directly for proof of uniqueness, and the database for the reasoning behind it -- two different guarantees, shown as two different things.

The one idea that matters

The blockchain proves one thing. The database explains everything else.

On-chain · Sepolia · ERC-721

Proven uniqueness

This exact generation record — this plant, this energy amount, this timestamp — has never been minted into a certificate before. Nothing else. The contract enforces it unconditionally; no one, including us, can override it.

require(!isRecordUsed(plantId, energyMWh, generationTimestamp))

Off-chain · explainable

Explained evidence

Plant details, the fraud score and the reasoning behind it live in a database, not the chain — because that data needs to be readable, queryable and correctable, not just tamper-proof. Only the uniqueness claim needed a blockchain.
